There are two jobs -  one in Spalding and the other in Skegness. From our established community base, you’ll work with a Team Leader, and  our staff team to lead, inspire and develop the existing service, creating even more community connections, finding exciting new opportunities which give people with learning disabilities the chance to try something new, develop skills, and make something happen in the community and the lives of other people.  The people we support want the chance to try new things and meet new people, as well as keep developing new skills, do more volunteering, get work experience and help local people. We know that everyone has something to contribute to their community and it’s our job to help them make that happen.

 

We have set ourselves an exciting agenda of change and improvement and we have already taken our first steps on the journey.   

 

About you

We’re looking for two Assistant Team Leaders who have the commitment and skills to inspire and help manage our team at Spalding/Skegness, as well as be a key part of our wider management team across the County. Adapting and responding to the needs, wants, and wishes of the people we support, you’ll play a key role in delivering our ambitious development plans.

Tell us about how your experience, skills and abilities can help us make our plans a reality. We're looking for someone with strong management and leadership skills, including:

  • responsive decision making skills
  • a track record in managing and developing staff
  • great communication skills
  • the drive to make changes and look for new ways of working
  • a creative approach which inspires other
  • a love of working with a range of people, organisations and colleagues
  • Experience of working with or supporting people with disabilities would also be an advantage. 

This role requires mobility throughout the county; therefore, a full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.

Fluency Duty
