Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to retirement for an experienced Social Worker to join the Workforce Quality and Development Team (WQD Team) as an Associate Lead Professional.
The post holder will support workforce development with a particular focus on the CPD of Social Workers and Social Work development, including apprenticeships, ASYE, Practice Education and placements, and AMHPs.
Ideally, the applicant will have completed the ASYE and hold a Practice Educator qualification. Experience and skills in delivering presentations and running workshops and learning events would also be beneficial.
The WQD Team is committed to the continued development of Adult Care's workforce as our most valuable asset. The post holder must be a good team worker who is adaptable, innovative, and able to shift focus to support the team in meeting varied briefs and drivers.
Primarily, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Support the recruitment and ongoing development of the Social Work Integrated Degree Apprentices.
- Develop and coordinate Social Work education and CPD activities.
- Lead the planning and delivery of the ASYE rolling programme in partnership with LPFT.
- Lead the planning and delivery of the Practice Educator Forum.
- Lead and manage the coordination of placement requests from HEIs and the placement process thereafter.
- Ensure the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) statutory training requirements are met, working in partnership with the AMHP Area Manager.
- Provide timely updates to managers and colleagues, highlighting any issues and successes.
- Support the collation and analysis of information from various stakeholders to assist with continual improvement activities.
- Interpret the requirements of existing and new partners and stakeholders.
- Engage in imaginative and creative problem-solving.
