As an Assurance & Improvement Officer, you'll work with data, evidence and insight to support better decision-making, strengthen quality and compliance, and help improve outcomes for people across Lincolnshire.

Join our newly established Strategic Commissioning Service and play a key role in shaping how we understand performance, quality, risk and organisational effectiveness across Adult Care and Community Wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

No two days will be the same. One day you may be analysing themes emerging from service reviews, the next supporting evidence gathering for a Care Quality Commission inspection, and the next helping to develop a new assurance process.

You'll help us understand how well our services, programmes and processes are working by:

• Bringing together and analysing information from multiple sources to create a clear picture of service performance, identifying strengths, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Reviewing evidence, data and documentation to identify themes and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Building and maintaining assurance evidence that demonstrates impact, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Producing reports, dashboards, briefings and assurance information for managers and senior leaders.
• Supporting audit, review, inspection and quality assurance activity, including responses to regulatory and governance requirements.
• Helping to develop and improve assurance approaches, business processes and systems that support effective service delivery.
• Working collaboratively across Adult Care, Commissioning and Corporate Services to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen quality and compliance, and deliver better outcomes for the people of Lincolnshire.

You'll help us understand how services and teams are working by gathering evidence, making sense of information and presenting clear insights to support decision-making and improvement. You don't need previous experience in assurance or adult social care, as full training and support will be provided. We actively encourage the use of digital and AI tools, giving you the opportunity to work with innovative approaches to analysing information and driving improvement.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
