Catering Assistant

Job Introduction

Lincolnshire County Council are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to become part of our team working in Langton's Café within the grounds of Lincoln Castle.

We are looking for a cheerful, confident and well organised person to join our catering team. You would form part of a small team providing a warm, friendly and positive welcome to our visitors. You must be comfortable using your own initiative and be able to multitask.

You will assist in general food preparation, adhering to the highest of food and hygiene standards. Our ideal candidate will have previous catering and cash handling experience coupled with excellent customer service skills, however a great attitude and strong willingness to learn will go a very long way.


This role operates on a rota system covering 36.25 hours per week, including some evening and weekend shifts to ensure our visitors have the best experience at Langton's Café,  Lincoln Castle. 


Relief catering assistant vacancies are also available.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
