Job Introduction
Are You the Fun, Lively Shift Leader Our Albion Street Family is Looking For?
Here at Albion Street in Spalding, we're not your average children's home. We are a close-knit, 6-bedded home that truly feels like a family. We're on a mission to create a warm, inclusive, and supportive space where our young people can thrive.
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Shift Leader (known officially as a Children’s Residential Carer Officer Level 2) to join our dedicated team. - Being a team champion: You'll mentor new staff members, supervise your colleagues, and lead on practice, making sure everyone feels valued and part of the Albion Street family.
- Making a difference: You'll get to develop projects, chair professional meetings, and help our young people build the skills they need for independent living.
Who We're Looking For: Is This You?

- Genuinely passionate about care and deeply committed to helping our children grow and develop.
- A natural leader who can supervise staff, lead shifts, and stay calm under pressure.
- A massive team player who loves to build relationships and work as part of a close-knit team.
- Qualified (or ready to be!): You ideally have a Level 3 QCF qualification in residential childcare (or a relevant equivalent), or you're willing to undertake it with our full support.
- Organised: You can produce reports, maintain accurate records, and have good IT skills.
- A driving licence is desirable, but we can be flexible.
