Lincolnshire County Council is looking for two motivated and proactive Officers - Client Operations to join our Transport Services Group.

These are excellent opportunities to play a key role in planning, commissioning, managing and improving passenger transport services that support children, young people and vulnerable residents across Lincolnshire.


About the roles
As an Officer within Client Operations, you will be responsible for managing and developing transport services that deliver safe, effective and value-for-money outcomes. You will lead a team of officers and support staff while working closely with transport operators, schools, social care colleagues, families and other stakeholders.

This is a busy, fast-paced role where priorities can change quickly. You'll need to remain calm under pressure, make informed decisions, and have a strong eye for detail when managing transport arrangements, contracts, investigations, and service performance. Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, as is the ability to balance customer needs with operational and budgetary requirements.


About you
We're looking for someone who can bring strong leadership, organisation and people-management skills together with a commitment to excellent customer service.


You will have:
Experience of leading and motivating teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience of managing resources, budgets or contracts.

The ability to make sound decisions in complex and changing environments.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally.

Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
