Development Management Officer

Job Introduction

Lincolnshire County Council’s Development Management Team plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering vibrant, sustainable communities across the county.

We are currently seeking a Development Management Officer to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of key infrastructure projects, including the project management of new highway construction and highway improvement schemes.

About The Role

There is a varied and challenging workload on offer, which includes;

Shaping and influencing highway designs for new housing developments

Project managing the construction and adoption of new highways infrastructure within a specific geographical area of Lincolnshire.

Checking drawings to confirm they meet the required specifications.

Inspecting new roads and highway improvements on-site to ensure quality and compliance.

Advising developers and their designers on highway matters and sustainable drainage solutions.

Building excellent relationships within the development industry.

You'll benefit from an 18-week induction, with guidance and training provided by experienced members of our team.

In addition to working alongside our established officers, you’ll be paired with a buddy to provide dedicated one-to-one support.

About You

We’re looking for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of development while consistently meeting demanding deadlines.

Ideal candidates will complement our collaborative and personable team, where working together and supporting one another is core to our values.

Applicants should have experience and expertise in the highways sector and can confidently apply their technical skills while working effectively with others.

You will ideally hold HNC or Eng Tech in relevant discipline, however we welcome applications from individuals with equivalent industry experience.

Please note this role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area and therefore a valid driving licence and use of a car is required.

Hybrid working is a feature of this role. The successful applicant will be required to attend the office regularly however there will opportunity to work from home.
