Early Years Practitioner

Job Introduction


Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our Early Years Locality Team in Boston and South Holland. 

  • 1 full time permanent Early Years Practitioner (37 hours per week)

 

You will be part of our Early Years locality team in Boston and South Holland and will work closely with other Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Specialist Teachers, the Central Early Years and Childcare Team, Health Visitors, Business Support and our commissioned partners to ensure that families are supported to access services within our Children's Centre offer.  

 

You will be experienced in Early Years inclusive practice and be able to use these skills to deliver targeted evidence-based programmes to children aged 0-2 and their families; engage families into early years services; and shape the delivery of our Early Years' service to best meet the needs of families. You will be supporting the delivery of quality services within a group of children’s centres and family hubs to ensure that these meet the needs of the surrounding community. You will be able to manage competing priorities and work creatively within budget restraints to ensure that we can provide high quality services directed to where they are needed most.

 

You will need to be:

  • Experienced in line with the requirements of the Job Description.
  • Up to date with legislative framework, the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, Start for Life, Family Hub and the Children’s Centre agenda.
  • Engaging, creative, knowledgeable and quality orientated.
  • Approachable with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently and with confidence.  
  • Analytical to identify priorities for improvement and track our progress against key performance indicators.
  • Excellent IT skills
