Are you a dynamic, forward-thinking property professional with a passion for public service and strategic leadership? Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced Estates & Valuation Team Leader to lead a high-performing team delivering expert property advice and services across a diverse and evolving estate.

About the Role

As the Estates & Valuation Team Leader, you will manage a multidisciplinary team of Chartered Surveyors and Property Records professionals. You’ll be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of estates management, valuations, acquisitions, disposals, and property records. This is a pivotal leadership role, shaping the Council’s property portfolio to support service delivery, financial sustainability, and community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Estates & Valuation and Property Records teams.
  • Oversee complex property transactions including acquisitions, disposals, lease events, and valuations.
  • Deliver strategic advice on estate management, rating, compensation, and planning matters.
  • Ensure compliance with RICS, CIPFA, IFRS, and Council policies.
  • Represent the Council in high-level negotiations and external engagements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development across the team.

About You

We’re looking for a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with:

  • Extensive post-qualification experience in estates and valuation, ideally within a local authority.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A commitment to professional standards and continuous improvement.
