Fostering Marketing & Recruitment Assistant

Job Introduction

Do you have a passion for marketing and a heart for making a difference? Are you a creative and driven individual who wants their work to truly matter? At Lincolnshire County Council, we are proud to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted, and our foster carer recruitment practices have been recognised as an example of national best practice by the Minister for Children and Families, Janet Darby.

Now, we’re looking for a Fostering Marketing & Recruitment Assistant to help us build on this success and continue to grow our network of exceptional foster carers.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.

About the Role

You’ll support the Marketing & Recruitment Officer to deliver inspiring campaigns and recruitment events that promote fostering for Lincolnshire County Council. This varied role will see you:

  • Create engaging digital content, including social media posts, brochures, and promotional materials.
  • Undertake administration activities such as telephone and email enquiries, undertake research relating to forthcoming potential campaigns and report on data relating to marketing activities.
  • Help organise and attend recruitment events (including some evenings and weekends, with TOIL).
  • Work with foster carers, young people, and community partners to tell real-life stories about fostering.
  • Negotiate with local businesses and partners to help widen our reach.
  • Contribute to our marketing strategy and recruitment plans

No two days are the same – one day you might be designing a social media campaign, the next setting up an information stand in a busy market square.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to create engaging content for both digital and print.
  • Good IT skills, ideally with experience in Microsoft and design tools like Canva.
  • Confidence in using a range of social media platforms.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to juggle deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail.

Experience in marketing, communications, or community engagement is desirable, but enthusiasm, creativity, and the ability to connect with people are just as important. You’ll also need to be able to travel to events across Lincolnshire.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a service that changes children’s lives for the better.
  • Work in a creative, supportive, and collaborative team.
  • Benefit from ongoing professional development.
  • Access to excellent public sector benefits, including generous leave and pension.

A Smarter Working Employer
