Job Introduction

We're looking for an Executive Support Officer to provide support to our Corporate Leadership Team and help strengthen engagement and communications with our stakeholders and partners.

The Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority was established just over a year ago and has taken on new powers and responsibilities devolved from government, enabling more decisions to be made locally in partnership with our councils.

This role is based in Lincoln, with a salary of £32,597– £35,412. As this is a key support role, the successful candidate will be expected to work from the office five days a week.

Salary: £32,597–£35,412 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

Location: Lincoln (on-site 5 days a week)

You’ll be joining a busy, dynamic and exciting team, providing support to our executive leadership and helping us build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners across both the public and private sectors. Our work reaches 1.1 million residents, 39,000 businesses and more than 32 million visitors, giving you the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a real difference across Greater Lincolnshire.

In this role, you'll play an important part in helping the Combined Authority deliver high-quality services and achieve positive outcomes for the communities, businesses and partners we serve.

You will:

  • Provide high-quality, professional and confidential administrative support to the Executive Officers, helping them work effectively and efficiently while making the best use of resources.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality services by contributing to performance management, quality standards and continuous improvement activities where appropriate.
  • Help embed new ways of working, building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, service areas, providers and partners to encourage collaboration and shared success.
  • Take ownership of your area of responsibility, providing advice, guidance and practical support where needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, create efficiencies and maximise value across your areas of work.

 

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about joining a new organisation and keen to be part of an exciting journey, embracing new ways of working and helping to shape how we operate.


You'll bring:

  • Experience in a senior administrative or secretarial role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
  • Confidence in communicating with a wide range of people, whether face-to-face, over the phone or in writing.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating positive experiences for colleagues, partners and members of the public.
