Group Work Facilitator

Job Introduction

Lincolnshire County Council is looking for four creative, innovative and passionate candidates for the role of Interventions and Group Work Facilitators; working within the Children’s Services, Future4Me Team.

About the role

This role will involve delivering and embedding specialist interventions and group work for Children’s Services. The primary aim of this role is to effectively safeguard, prevent offending and reduce reoffending by children and young people in Lincolnshire. The purpose of the role is to reduce first time entrants into the Criminal Justice System by preventing antisocial behaviour and offending; ensuring young people receive effective support to achieve positive outcomes.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to work directly with targeted children and young people to develop their personal and social skills, by engaging them through the delivery of interventions. You will get the opportunity to be creative; assisting in the design, development and delivery of structured interventions with young people, to minimise the risk of reoffending or entering the Criminal Justice System. Examples of these interventions include the #Filter and Status group work programmes. These programmes support young people to understand behaviours, emotions and relationships; as well as develop skills and strategies to help manage difficult situations; maintain healthy and positive relationships; and reduce or prevent aggression and violence. You will also work closely with colleagues from Children’s Services and the Future4Me Team – and multiagency partners.

About the opportunity

Candidates will also be expected to work outside of normal office hours as required. We are offering a competitive salary of £15.08 per hour.
