This is a superb opportunity for a skilled Engineer to be part of our team. You could be inspecting the assets, designing minor works projects, or even working towards major schemes across the County.
About you
We need a positive and enthusiastic team player who will meet or exceed performance and productivity expectations. Having good communication skills, you will also demonstrate effective relationships in the way you work with colleagues and clients.
Working within the political and business environment of the Council you will develop strong positive relationships with clients, colleagues and partners across all service areas. You will need to think creatively and work collaboratively, seeking opportunities to assist in improving individual and team performance and service delivery in line with the Council’s objectives.
You will fulfil a rewarding role, with purposeful and sustainable work, helping shape Lincolnshire's communities and the future of the County. We are passionate about Lincolnshire and work to help businesses and communities thrive – always being mindful of the impacts on people, planet and place.
The role is based in Lancaster House in Lincoln, where your presence will be required for a minimum of two days per week and will reflect the needs of your team and the business. Some site attendance will also be required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and effective individual, with proven ability in the design and supervision of highway-related works. You will be ready to take on responsibility for technical, professional and personal development of the people in the team.
On joining the team, you will be well supported, but you will be able to find your feet quickly and deliver a range of schemes from feasibility through supervision on site, focussing on meeting clients' briefs and ensuring the team's work is delivered within time and budget. Experience in mentoring junior staff members would be a valuable asset.
You will work closely with a Principal Engineer, assisting them in leading the team, taking responsibility for delivery of your own schemes and an overview of others. With effective communication skills, you will also demonstrate effective behaviours in the way you work with colleagues and clients. You will have a full driver's licence so you can use our pool cars.
We operate a hybrid working model that includes time in our offices at Lancaster House as well as time on-site. There is an expectation for you to be in the office at least two days a week, with additional office presence required based on the needs of the service.
