About the role
As part of Lincolnshire County Council's Communications team, you'll play a key role in ensuring that our residents are well-informed about our waste services, and prepared for the roll-out of food waste, as part of the Lincolnshire Waste Partnership.
This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and help ensure the effectiveness of this major shift in the way waste is collected and processed in Lincolnshire, creating a positive impact in our local communities.
Your role will involve offering strategic and tactical advice to senior politicians and officers on communications, media, and marketing matters. You'll be expected to support waste services across all seven district councils and the county council to ensure our messages are impactful and clear.
About you
We're looking for an experienced communications professional with knowledge of waste services. You should bring proven practical experience in communications planning and execution, along with a strong creative flair for developing innovative strategies.
As the Strategic Communications Lead for Waste Services, you'll enjoy flexible working arrangements. While we don't expect you to be in our Lincoln office every day, you'll need to attend key meetings and events at locations across the county.

This fixed term position is for 12 months and offered as a secondment for staff currently working for a district council or the county council in Lincolnshire. Internal candidates should notify their manager if applying for secondment opportunities. Managers may provide support and discuss arrangements concerning this. There is potential for the role to be made permanent, subject to business needs.

Fluency Duty
