Lincs Laboratory is looking to recruit for the position of Engineering Consultancy Manager.
We are seeking a leader for a team of highly skilled and motivated Engineers and Technicians in Pavement Design, Materials and Workmanship monitoring and offering highway engineering advice to a wide range of clients across Lincolnshire. You will be driving excellence and quality of the laboratory to the Highways service across the County.
About the role:
Lincs Laboratory is UKAS accredited to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 for construction materials sampling and testing. We also offer extensive Consultancy Services holding ISO 9001 Quality Assurance certification and ISO 45001 Health and Safety certification.
The Engineering Consultancy Manager will work with the Laboratory Services Manager to deliver high-quality consultancy and laboratory testing to the Highways Service.
Leading a team of Engineers and Technicians you will be project managing a range of highways engineering projects for the Highways Service, including major maintenance scheme pavement design, quality monitoring of materials and workmanship and geotechnical ground investigation.
You will also be involved in work on a commercial basis for external clients such as Local Authorities, Designers, Materials Suppliers and Contractors locally and throughout the UK.
You will commission testing from the laboratory service to enable thorough site investigation. The role provides support to the Highways department to author specifications and Standards for use across the County. You will manage a range of innovative trials projects to inform the Highways service on the appropriate use of new materials and processes.
You will support and motivate the team to deliver high-quality results in a dynamic and innovative Highways Service, delivering exceptional outcomes for the residents of Lincolnshire.
