Legal Officer – Education, Employment & Prosecutions Team

Legal Services Lincolnshire (LSL) is seeking a Legal Officer to join our Education, Employment & Prosecutions Team. You’ll play a key part in supporting our lawyers, with a particular focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tribunals and wider Education Law matters.
About the Role
You’ll provide one-to-one legal and administrative support to the Education Lawyer handling SEN Tribunal appeals. This will include preparing legal bundles, maintaining case files, liaising with witnesses, gathering documents, and corresponding with legal professionals and members of the public. You’ll also support other lawyers within the team as needed, gaining exposure to a diverse and rewarding workload.
Training will be provided, and you’ll be supported by a knowledgeable and friendly team who are passionate about making a difference.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience in office administration and a methodical, organised approach to work.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office packages.
An interest in education law or a desire to build a career within the legal sector.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and support others.
Previous experience working in a legal setting is an advantage, but not essential – we’ll provide full training for the right candidate.

Working Arrangements
Initially, you’ll be based in the office three days per week to support training and development. Once fully onboarded, the expectation is for one regular office day per week (currently Wednesdays), with the remainder of the week worked remotely.
You’ll need a suitable home working environment with reliable internet access – we’ll support you if needed to get set up.
