Lincolnshire Young Voices Co-Chair 

Do you want to inspire change for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?  


We have an exciting opportunity for a young adult with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), aged 18 to 25 years to join Lincolnshire County Council; working alongside the NHS and a range of partner organisations across the county. 

Candidates will have lived experience of SEND and will be responsible for jointly leading Lincolnshire Young Voices, whose aim is to inspire change and ensure the priorities of the group are realised. This role is vital for improving services for children & young people with SEND in Lincolnshire. 


Lincolnshire Young Voices is a young people's group of volunteers representing the views of children and young people with SEND in Lincolnshire - the group have lived experience of using services for children and young people with SEND. 

The successful candidate will gain in-depth experience of working in the public sector and develop their leadership, business, I.T. and communication skills to further their long-term employment opportunities.  


The post is 0.5 FTE* (18.5 hours per week) at Grade 2, Lincolnshire County Council Pay Spine 3 (pro-rata/ starting equivalent £12,206.50) and is a fixed-term contract of 18 months. 


This opportunity may require some remote working, however, initially, work will be supported in an office base (Lincoln) with the intention to work remotely from home or another office base at least some of the time (with online support).  


Interviews to be held week commencing 27th April, in Lincoln. 


Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.
