Family Adoption Links (FAL) is seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing and Recruitment Officer to develop our regional marketing and communications strategy. This is your chance to shape the brand voice of a service that transforms lives—raising awareness, crafting compelling campaigns, and inspiring families to consider adoption

Experience in Marketing is essential with opportunities to develop skills in recruitment.

FAL is a partnership of six local authorities: Rutland, Leicestershire, Leicester City, North Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, and Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. We work together to provide inclusive, friendly, and high-quality adoption services to prospective adopters and families who have adopted.

About the Role

In this impactful role, you will:

  • Develop and lead FAL’s regional marketing and communications strategy.
  • Boost public awareness of adoption and promote FAL’s vision and services across the partnership area.
  • Design and deliver end-to-end recruitment campaigns that increase adopter enquiries and applications.
  • Manage digital content and social media engagement with creativity and insight.
  • Shape internal and external communications across local authorities/children’s trust
  • Provide strategic communications advice, including public and media relations.
  • Use insight and data to refine messaging and campaign performance.
  • Build strong relationships with regional colleagues, other RAAs, and stakeholders.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident communicator with exceptional marketing and campaign planning skills.
  • Able to balance creative vision with analytical insight.
  • Collaborative and skilled at working across partnerships with competing demands and complexities
  • Sensitive to the complex and emotional nature of adoption.
  • Being mindful, considered and proactive in respect of children who wait the longest for a permanent home.
  • Familiar with the needs of children in care and the adoption process (desirable).
  • Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Has a minimum of 1 years marketing experience

We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.

Fluency Duty
