Job Introduction
We are looking to recruit an Outreach Officer to join the EYE team, to analyse the take up of funded childcare across Lincolnshire and assist families across Lincolnshire to maximise their entitlements. The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail and enjoy working with statistics. The role will involve data analysis, to identify trends and patterns of take up and eligibility.
We are looking for an excellent communicator, who will work closely with parents, childcare providers and professionals to expand their awareness of the government offers available, and increase the number of children accessing their early education entitlements.
The post holder will be required to gather intelligence on any potential barriers affecting families and their ability to access their early years place. The individual should be passionate about early years education and changing lives through childcare. This is a 1 year fixed term post. This could be a secondment opportunity for an internal candidate.
Main responsibilities are:
• Analysing take up and eligibility data and identifying patterns in demographics of EYE usage to inform decision making and sufficiency planning.
• Communicate directly with families to understand barriers to take up of EYE
• Embed new and innovative ways of thinking to promote usage of EYE to families, working collaboratively with childcare providers and professionals.
• Conduct virtual and face to face audits to ensure compliance with the EYE funding requirements across the county as directed by the Lead Consultant (EYE).
• To support other general administrative and clerical duties as requested, including report writing, data reporting and dealing with both parent and provider queries
You will have an eye for detail and a flexible approach to be able to react and adapt on a daily basis. You will need to demonstrate extensive networking skills to ensure collaborative working across the sector to promote take up of the entitlements. You will be required to build effective relationships both internally and externally, so effective communication skills are essential to be able to provide careful and considered responses.
A good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel will be beneficia
The post holder will be required to have a driving license with access to a car and be able to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role. Some travel will be required across the county to meet service demand.
