Job Introduction

Job Title: Principal Lawyer - £60,050 - £65,878 Grade 13 (Attraction supplement of up to 15% available)
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid (minimum one day per week office-based)
Location: Lincoln (Legal Services Lincolnshire, Environment and Economy Directorate)

About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic leader for our Commercial and Information Team who has a passion for local government legal work and for developing people.

As the Principal Lawyer you will be expected to provide high quality, responsive and cost-effective advice covering a range of contract and procurement matters.

Legal Services Lincolnshire (LSL) is a shared legal service hosted by the county council, offering legal advice to the county council and to six of the county’s district and borough councils as well as other public sector clients.

We are committed to delivering commercial law support to our client’s major projects and can provide a wide variety of challenging work in areas such IT contracts, construction and children’s and adult’s commissioning.

In addition, you will supervise a team of staff and contribute to the management of LSL and the good governance of our clients.


About you:

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with at least 5 years PQE together with management experience and a thorough understanding and working knowledge of public procurement and contracts.
