Working Pattern: Hybrid, minimum two days per week in Lincoln

We are looking for a confident, ambitious and analytical Principal Risk Officer to assist in delivering the risk management strategy for Lincolnshire County Council.
About the role
The Principal Risk Officer plays a critical role supporting the Council through the embedding of a risk aware culture as highlighted in the Councils risk management strategy.
You will facilitate high level conversations across all areas of the Council, supporting colleagues to identify, assess, mitigate and review their risks.
The role includes delivery of the risk management training plan, facilitation of the strategic risk groups and the directorate risk groups.
This role enjoys hybrid working with the expectation to attend the Lincoln work base at least twice per week.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive knowledge/experience in risk management and / or an appropriate qualification.
- Experience working at a senior level ideally in local authority or public sector bodies.
- Excellent presentation and facilitations skills.
- The ability to apply a range of analytical techniques to understand and interpret risks and controls.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiating, influencing and challenging.
