Registration Development Officer

Job Introduction

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Registration Service Development Officer to provide a key support role and help us innovate within the Registration & Celebratory Service.

This role is crucial for enhancing our service delivery and we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic person to join our Team. You should have a flexible, positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide flexible 
support to the service across a range of activities:

  • Support key activities, including the administration of birth and death registrations, requests for copy certificates and corrections to registrations
  • Support the administration of various ceremonies, including marriage and civil partnership, citizenship ceremonies, and celebratory events such as renewal of vows
  • Work to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring the service meets agreed standards and timescales. You will also handle customer inquiries and provide high-quality service to both internal and external customers
  • Support digital engagement and marketing efforts, including social media and promotional materials
  • Assist with the commercial development of the service, including venue engagement and income generation
  • Monitor and support service standards ensuring compliance with key performance indicators

This role is part of the Service Development Team and not a Registrar Role.

We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.

Fluency Duty 

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
