Relief Support Worker

Job Introduction

What are you going to do in 2026?  If you're ready for a new challenge, this could be the role for you.

The Hastings Centre at Gainsborough has two Relief Support Worker vacancies.  We are open to discussions about full or part-time working.  We work flexibly across the week including some weekends and evenings. Our job is to support adults with learning and / or physical disabilities to live their lives to the full.  The people we work with have some challenges, but they also have energy, dreams and ambitions. Our job is to support people to make the most of their strengths and abilities, to learn new skills, to achieve their goals, to have new experiences and to have the best possible day, every day.

Could you do that?

These are some of the activities that we currently offer

  • Work skills development & supported volunteering
  • Intensive interaction & sensory support
  • Personal development & wellbeing
  • Fitness and health
  • Gardening & horticulture
  • Healthy eating & cookery
  • Woodwork
  • Craft enterprises

Could you add to that list by sharing skills and talents of your own?

Do you have excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, creativity and flexibility in the way you work?

Do you have the skills and confidence to support individuals and small groups to make a meaningful contribution to their local community?

Do you have the skills to develop purposeful opportunities both within the centre and the local area?

If so, we want to hear from you.

The ability to drive with access to a vehicle for work would be an advantage.
