About the Role
As a Residential Care Officer Level 2, you will be a key figure in a child’s world. Someone they look to, trust, laugh with, test, and eventually rely on.
Your Level 2 Residential Care Officer role will include:
- Leading shifts with calmness, clarity, and compassion
- Building strong, healing relationships with children who need consistency and connection
- Coaching and mentoring staff, nurturing reflective and therapeutic practice
- Supporting independence, emotional resilience and day‑to‑day life skills
- Being a steady, safe adult through the lowest moments and the biggest breakthroughs
- Working creatively – from cooking together to music, art, outdoor adventures, and regulation strategies
- Leading projects and direct work that help young people understand themselves and their emotions
- Representing Robin House in professional meetings with confidence and warmth

Salary & Benefits
- £32,597 – £35,412
- Sleep‑ins: £41.78 per night
- Mileage: 45p per mile
- Overtime: Time‑and‑a‑half
- Average opportunity to earn £5,000 – £10,000 extra annually
Shift Pattern including sleep in shifts.
Full‑time, permanent with a balanced rota and advance notice to support work/life balance.

Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who:
- Cares deeply about young people and their stories

- Can write good quality records and reports
- Holds or is willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
- Has a driving license and car they are willing to use for work.
