Job Introduction

Due to internal promotion we’ve got an exciting opportunity to join the Beacon family as a Senior Carer at our Children’s Residential Care Home in Grantham.

Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements of RQF Level 6.

About the Role

As a Residential Care Officer Level 3, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity. All our children have complex needs, disabilities and difficulties.  Our home is built on a foundation of trauma-informed practice, social pedagogy, attachment theory, and therapeutic care models - all designed to support healing and growth.

You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Complex Needs Mental Health Link Workers, to develop and implement personalised therapeutic care plans that make a real difference.

As a Senior Carer at The Beacon you will be leading a team of 50+ Carers as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Creative, compassionate, and resilient
  • Experienced in residential care, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches
  • A natural leader who can inspire and supervise a team of care professionals
  • Confident in making informed decisions and allocating resources effectively
  • Committed to continuous professional development

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Good IT literacy and communication skills
