Social Care Digital Technology Ambassador (Associate Lead Professional)

Job Introduction

We are seeking two Social Care Digital Technology Ambassadors (Associate Lead Professionals).

Be the link between great practice, great technology and better outcomes.

Lincolnshire County Council is introducing a new Technology Enabled Care (TEC) service.

The TEC service will help adults to:

  • live more independently
  • stay well for longer
  • get the right support at the right time

It also helps support family members and friends who provide unpaid care.

We are recruiting two Social Care Digital Technology Ambassadors to support this work.  This is a fantastic chance to shape service and a career development opportunity for an ambitious social worker.

About the role

These roles focus on supporting practice.

You will help practitioners feel confident using technology as part of their everyday work with people.

You will help them to:

  • understand what the TEC service offers
  • know when technology may help
  • talk about technology with people and families

Technology should be part of adult care conversations. This includes assessments, reviews and support planning. You will help turn technology into practical, everyday support for people.

Three roles working together

There are three Ambassador roles in total.

  • One role will mainly cover the East of Lincolnshire
  • One role will mainly cover the West of Lincolnshire
  • One existing role will cover the South of Lincolnshire.

The three roles will work closely together. You will:

  • share learning
  • share tools and resources
  • use the same approaches across the county

Travel across Lincolnshire is needed. This is to support teams, partners, people and their support networks.

What you will do

You will work with:

  • Adult Care teams
  • the TEC strategic partner
  • other professionals and partners

You will support practitioners:

  • through giving information and advice
  • during home visits
  • in meetings with other professionals

You will play an important role in making sure the TEC service is used well.

Key parts of the role

In this role, you will:

  • Create and run workshops for Adult Care staff and other professionals
  • Help practitioners and people understand the TEC service and how to use it
  • Create simple, practical resources such as guides, prompts and FAQs
  • Provide support with understanding everyday technology and TEC equipment
  • Support strengths‑based conversations with people and families
  • Talk about technology in a clear and person‑centred way
  • Use information from technology to identify when there is a change
  • Help teams take action early when risks appear
  • Support better decision‑making using TEC insight

Who we are looking for

You should have:

  • Experience of working in Adult Care or a similar setting
  • An understanding of strengths‑based practice
  • Confidence supporting and developing practice
  • The ability to explain technology in simple, clear language
  • An interest in using data to support early help and prevention
  • A positive and collaborative way of working

This is a professional leadership role. Therefore, you must hold a current professional registration.
This may include Social Work England, HCPC or an equivalent body.  You must be able to show how your professional judgement supports safe and person‑centred practice.

Why work with us

This role gives you the chance to help shape how technology is used in Adult Care.

Your work will:

  • support people’s independence
  • improve outcomes
  • build confidence across the workforce

You will be part of the Innovation team. We are a small and supportive team and we are trusted to try new ways of working. We focus on practical solutions: we test ideas, learn quickly and turn them into everyday practice.
