About the Role
Lincolnshire Secure unit opened in March 1997 and provides care and education for young people between the ages of ten and eighteen years. The unit has earned a very positive reputation both locally and nationally for the service it provides. Lincolnshire Secure Unit promotes the use of Restorative Justice, as this is key in helping young people take responsibility for their actions and enabling them to lead a more positive future. We provide on-site Care, Education, Offending Behaviour Interventions, Personal Development and Health services to young people (males and females)who have been remanded or sentenced by a court or whose behaviour cannot be managed in any other form of accommodation.
About You
We are looking to recruit a professional who is passionate about education, someone who wants to play a key part in helping to shape the future for the unit; someone who wants to; take ownership, drive quality assurance and lead from the front. We are seeking to appoint a teacher who has exceptional pastoral and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a talented and passionate leader, with the experience and drive to contribute fully to the continuous improvement and future development of the school. The ideal candidate will have experience of behaviour management and teaching a range of subjects, and will be up to date on current local authorities' policies and the teaching standards. You will need to be able to communicate effectively and be able to share the schools values and ethos through teaching and learning. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to motivate, empower and inspire others through the sharing of outstanding practice.
