Adult Care Community Care Officer Level 1 - Occupational Therapy

We have two Community Care Officer (level 1) positions available within our Occupational Therapy service:

• 30 hour post in our Northwest locality team (Lincoln and West Lindsey), based in Lincoln
• 37 hour post in our Southwest locality team (North and South Kesteven), based in Sleaford

About our team

We require two Community Care Officers (level 1) to work in Adult Care within one of our locality Occupational Therapy teams. Our locality teams consist of an OT Area Manager, an OT Lead Practitioner, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers.

Team members undertake functional assessments, provide equipment and recommend environmental adaptations. We use a strength-based approach to support individuals to meet their outcomes and to maximise their independence. Both teams are very friendly and welcoming, we enjoy going for lunches, having coffee and cake, and talking about our holidays and dogs.

About you

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate individuals who are committed to helping people maintain their independence and achieve positive outcomes in their daily lives.

You will:

• You must have the ability to travel across the county in order to meet the needs of the service.
  
• Be a team player, able to work collaboratively within a supportive Occupational Therapy team and with partner organisations.
• Have some knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy in Adult Social Care and an understanding of how equipment, adaptations and a strengths-based approach can support independence.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, carers, colleagues and professionals.
• Be organised and able to manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks and completing assessments and documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Be adaptable and resilient, able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond positively to changing priorities and situations.
