Lincolnshire Children's Services, Family Help Team at the Integrated Front Door, is seeking a Senior Family Help Worker. We are looking for suitably qualified applicants who are passionate about delivering high‑quality support and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the confidence to work collaboratively with partners to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.

It is recognised that there needs to be a consistent approach to how Family Help is offered and how advice is provided to our partners to continually improve our Family Help provision and ensure that Children and Young People have the right support at the right time. The Family Help Team at the Integrated Front Door was created to achieve these aims.

The Family Help Front Door forms part of our Integrated Front Door within Children’s Services, working alongside the Social Care Screening Team. We work closely with locality Family Help Teams, Future 4 Me, and a wide range of partner agencies to analyse available information and determine how unmet needs can be best supported. This includes identifying the most appropriate services or professionals to provide that support, as well as offering advice and guidance where needed.

What you'll be doing - Senior Family Help Worker

The Senior Family Help Worker role within the Integrated Front Door involves making informed decisions about how best to meet identified unmet needs, offering advice and guidance, and strengthening working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies through effective collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of Integrated Children’s Services, working closely with a range of professionals to support children and young people within their communities and champion the use of evidence‑based practice.

What we're looking for?

  • A professional qualification in youth work (JNC Recognised) or Social Work
  • Diploma/ Qualification in Careers Guidance or Level 4 in Guidance
  • Diploma or equivalent level 4 qualification in relevant subject for working with children, young people and families
  • Two years post-qualification experience
  • Knowledge/ understanding of child development, and how Family Help systems, as well as the sorts of interventions that are most impactful 
  • Collaborative, committed and motivated, you’re a leader who enjoys working with a diverse range of people
