In Gainsborough, with our experienced and established team, you’ll bring to life the next stage of our ambitious plans, creating a community hub. Its your role to inspire and develop the existing service, creating even more community connections, finding exciting new opportunities which give people with learning disabilities, autism and other life-long conditions the chance to try something new and develop skills. Working collaboratively with a range of groups and organisations locally, you’ll create new opportunities for connection and purpose which supports the local area.

The people we support want the chance to try new things and meet new people, as well as keep developing new skills, do more volunteering, get work experience and help local people.  We know that everyone has something to contribute to their community and it’s our job to help them make that happen

 

We have set ourselves an exciting agenda of change and improvement and we have already taken our first steps on the journey.   

 

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Manager who has the commitment and skills to inspire and manage our team at Gainsborough, as well as be a key part of our wider management team contributing to a range of other projects across the County. Adapting and responding to the needs, wants, and wishes of the people we support, you’ll play a key role in delivering our ambitious development plans.

  • responsive decision making skills
  • a track record in managing and developing staff
  • great communication skills
  • the drive to make changes and look for new ways of working
  • a creative approach which inspires other
  • a love of working with a range of people, organisations and colleagues
  • Experience of working with or supporting people with disabilities.

A Smarter Working Employer

We have embraced new ways of working and hybrid working will be a feature of this role. You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
