Lincolnshire County Council is undergoing a major digital transformation - and we’re building a tech team that can power it. We’re looking for skilled and forward-thinking Power Engineers to deliver innovative solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric.
Whether it’s streamlining operational processes, enhancing service intelligence, or shaping integrated data flows across our directorates, you’ll play a central role in driving real impact through low-code development, automation, and analytics.
About the Role
You’ll work within Agile Product Teams - made up of both in-house professionals and our Strategic Technology Partner - to deliver scalable, secure and insightful applications. From building Power Apps and automating workflows to integrating GIS data, cloud platforms, and line-of-business systems, you’ll be hands-on in crafting high-quality digital solutions.
This role sits within our growing IT function and reports into the Head of Strategy, Architecture and Product. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, data leads, and cybersecurity specialists to ensure our platforms are effective, secure, and continuously improving.
What You’ll Be Doing
Building custom Power Apps and Power Automate flows to solve business challenges
Developing robust data pipelines, ETL processes and CI/CD workflows
Creating rich dashboards and analytics in Power BI to improve decision-making
Supporting integration of systems such as ERP, CRM, and GIS platforms like ESRI ArcGIS
Ensuring data security, GDPR compliance, and effective access control
Using Microsoft Fabric for cloud-based data modelling and hybrid architecture
Troubleshooting performance issues and implementing automated solutions
Working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical outcomes
Promoting best practice in low-code/no-code development and agile delivery
Applying data governance standards including the GDAD framework
About You
You’ll bring a strong blend of technical know-how and solution-focused thinking, alongside the ability to communicate and collaborate across service areas.
Essential experience includes:
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
Microsoft Fabric and/or hybrid cloud data architecture
Data modelling, SQL, and integration techniques
CI/CD pipelines and workflow optimisation
Agile ways of working and cross-functional collaboration
Commitment to quality, security, and continuous improvement
Experience with GIS (e.g. ESRI ArcGIS), APIs, or data governance frameworks (GDAD, NIST, etc.) would be an advantage.
