Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting two Social Worker Level 2s to join our Mental Health Social Work Team in the south of the county, where you will play a key role in supporting adults to achieve positive outcomes, maximise their independence, and achieve their personal goals.

About the Role

As a Social Worker Level 2, you will hold a varied and often complex caseload, supporting adults with mental health needs to live as independently and safely as possible within their communities.

Working within a strengths-based framework, you will undertake assessments, develop outcome-focused support plans, coordinate services, and work collaboratively with individuals to identify solutions that build resilience, maximise independence and promote wellbeing.

This is a role where professional judgement, relationship-building and creativity come together. You will have the opportunity to work closely with health colleagues, community organisations, and partner agencies to deliver integrated, person-centred support that genuinely improves lives.

Key aspects of the role include:

Managing a varied and complex caseload.
Undertaking Care Act assessments and strengths-based conversations.
Supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges to achieve positive outcomes.
Working collaboratively with health, housing, voluntary sector, and community partners.
Leading and contributing to safeguarding enquiries and risk management processes.
Developing, implementing, and reviewing care and support plans.
Supporting, mentoring, and sharing your expertise with less experienced colleagues.
Promoting recovery, independence, social inclusion, and community connections.

This role offers the autonomy to use your professional expertise while being supported by experienced colleagues, Advanced Practitioners and Team Managers who are committed to high-quality practice and continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health social work and motivated by helping people achieve meaningful change in their lives.

You will be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration and experience of working with adults in complex health and social care environments. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to strengths-based practice, person-centred support and delivering excellent outcomes.

You will:

Be confident managing complex situations, balancing risk while promoting choice and independence.
Have experience undertaking strengths-based assessments and care planning.
Demonstrate sound professional judgement and decision-making.
Build positive and effective relationships with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies.
Be an advocate for recovery-focused and person-centred approaches.
Show resilience, compassion, and professional curiosity.
Be willing to support and mentor colleagues, students, and newly qualified practitioners.
Thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to a positive learning culture.
Share our ambition to continuously improve services and outcomes for local people.

Roles will be based at either Sleaford, Spalding or Grantham. Please express your location preference on your application form; however, travel across the area will be part of the role.

You must have the ability to travel across the county in order to meet the needs of the service.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary. Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity, and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
